The last Friday of term saw the children perform the Calder Vale Passion Play beginning in the village and ending at the church with a Eucharist srvice and lunch.

The event was well supported by family and friends and the performance was excellent.

Well done to everyone.

Finally, we celebrated all the hard work done by the children and helpers in the school.

Thank you to everyone.

Spring 2014 Mothering Sunday Service

|

The congregation was treated to some 'home baking' by the chldren as well as the indulgent   'home baking served up after the Mothering Sunday Service. Thank you to everyone who supported us or who took part in the service-the children spoke clearly and with conviction. Once again we enjoyed a strong performance from the school orchestra as they performed 'Peace, Perfect Peace'.

February 12 2014 The Food Train

|

It was a n extremely hectic morning for Kestrel class as they prepared and served lunch for the whole school including adults and visitors. There weren't many leftovers!

Thanks once agin to Mrs. Miller for giving up her time to make the event such a success.

2014 02 Lunch from Near and Far

|

The children have been trying out recipes using ingredints from local farms and from countries round the globe. They voted for their favourite recipes to serve up on Thursday 13th of February and created their own menus.

Superb Strings

|

Our worship theme for this term is 'Peace' - All week we have been learning the hymn 'Peace Perfect Peace' - Today our strings group learnt to play it! Not bad for a first try!

What a Meal!

|

The children enjoyed the delights of a 'Hunter/Gatherer' feast prepared and served by Kestrel Class on Thursday. Many thanks to Mrs. Miller who helped to produce such a nourishing meal.
